This program emphasizes the current biomass scenarios in Malaysia which include issues regarding the availability and sustainability of raw materials as well as current and possible utilization of biomass. The program also offers biomass conversion technologies at some Malaysia case studies related to the utilization of biomass for production of value-added products

The program is designed specifically for undergraduate engineering and biotechnology students who play important roles in the operation, optimization and development of biotechnology processes. The students will be given the opportunity to present their own case study and tour FKKSA laboratory and Centre of Excellence for Advanced Research in Fluid Flow (CARIFF)

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to;
Understand the responsibility for sustainable biomass utilization.
Knowledge that can be applied to utilize biomass conversion technologies

Field Trips / Field Excursion, Group Activities, Demonstration, Case Studies, Homestay, Batik design and painting, Tought classes, Hands-on Workshop, Visits and interacting with local community
