Why is this interesting for me?

Students who participate in this program gain a myriad of benefits. These include increased independent thinking and leadership skills through the development of cross-cultural understanding, self-confidence, acceptance of diversity, ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations. International exposure complements and enhances the learning experience of students, which may not be possible with the conventional methods of learning confined to the home institution and also, credit transfer.

Learning objectives

We offered three courses which are:

  1. LMTT2113 Information and Communications Technology in Malaysian Society. a) State the history, infrastructure, government’s initiative and current technology development of ICT in Malaysia. b) Design and develop a game based on Malaysian heritage and cultural artifact. c) Complete a case study about an ICT implementation in Malaysia.

  2. LMCR2523 Game Programming and the Malaysian Culture a) Describe the history of games and playing games; and games in the Malaysian culture and heritage. b) Discuss the process of games design and development. c) Design and develop a game based on Malaysian heritage and cultural artefact.

  3. LMCR2303 Competitive Programming a) Able to apply knowledge of data structures and algorithms in programming. b) Able to analyze problems of computer science based on the type of the problems and use an appropriate problem-solving method. c) Able to write effective programming code in solving computer science problems competitively
